Effective equations describing the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through and tangentially to a filter

چکیده

We study the 2D creeping flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through and tangentially to a thin filter. The flow is governed by given pressure drops in horizontal and vertical directions. Filter consists of periodically placed perforations of the typical size . The filter thickness is of the same order. By employing the boundary layer technique due to W. Jäger and A. Mikelić, we obtain the effective model with the interface law .
